As a comparison, here are two sample public weather forecasts available:

Sydney: Rain. Min 18 Max 23
Brisbane: Chance of a late storm. Min 21 Max 34

And here are our forecasts:

Sydney. A cloudy morning is expected with showers developing around midday, increasing to rain after mid afternoon. A few brief periods of sunshine are expected during the morning, but this is not expected to total more than 1 hour. The chance of rainfall is approximately 15% during the morning until 11am when it will increase to 60%, before further increasing to 90% after 2pm and persisting for the remainder of the day. A maximum of 23 degrees is expected late in the morning, but during the early afternoon it will cool down to around 21 degrees. Winds are expected to be moderate (10-15 knots), from the E/SE, increasing to fresh (15-20 knots) during the afternoon.

Brisbane. A sunny morning is expected with temperatures rapidly increasing to over 30 degrees by 10am. After about 2pm, some small, lumpy, white clouds with grey bases will developing – becoming larger by 4pm. There is only a low chance of a thunderstorm – with most of the showers and thunderstorms expected to remain on the mountain ranges. If any thunderstorms do move over Brisbane, they are most likely during the evening and night, after 6pm. The chance of rainfall is approximately 10% until 4pm, when it will increase a little to 20%, and increase to 35% after 6pm. A maximum of 34 degrees is expected, although it will become a little cooler during the afternoon as light-moderate (5-15 knots) winds from the NW freshen (10-20 knots) from the NE with the seabreeze.

As you can see, the additional detail can be crucial – hours of potential productivity can be wasted with less detailed forecasts.
